Rushing Water

The Columbia River Gorge National Scenic area is a place that I’ve been lucky to visit many times.  This creek derives from the Wahkeena Falls.  It is a special place – I’ve hiked the trail a few times.

This particular photo is a favorite of mine. It was taken when I hiked the Wahkeena trail for the very first time.  I fell in love with this image as it represents the essence of the Gorge – rushing water.

Mt. Jefferson, Oregon

One of my passions is aerial photography.  I’ve been fortunate enough to fly over a few states in the Pacific Northwest.

This picture was taken while flying from Portland to Sun River, a resort area near Bend, Oregon.  The sky was mostly clear, and the snow sparkled like jewels when viewed from above.   Flying over the Cascades makes you appreciate nature, and understand how critical a healthy environment is to all the creatures who live on Mother Earth.

North Falls, Silver Falls State Park

North Falls

Taken at Oregon’s Silver Falls State Park.

The day I took this photo, it was pretty cold and windy.  But you wouldn’t know it by looking at this picture.  Despite my fingers and hands aching from the freezing temps, I was able to shoot this one with a long exposure and no shake from the camera.  (Tripods do come in handy.)
